Bryan Botilheiro — Executive Director
"Growing up in Etwatwa, I saw the same story play out — young people with talent, but without a laptop or a data connection. Astute Tech exists to change that. When you give here, you're not donating to an organisation. You're handing a tool to a person who's ready to use it."
Bryan Botilheiro — Executive Director, Astute Tech Foundation

Simple. Transparent. Direct impact.

Whether you need support or want to give it — here's exactly how the process works from start to finish.

For Individuals

Apply for a Device or Bursary

Youth and community members in need of technology support or funding for tech education can apply directly. Applications are reviewed against clear criteria — no favouritism, no gatekeeping.

01

Submit your application

Fill in the form below — tell us who you are, what you need, and why. Attach proof of need (school letter, ID, or enrolment confirmation).

02

We review your application

Your application is assessed against our criteria within 5–7 working days. You'll receive an email update on its status.

03

Your need goes live

If approved, an anonymised version of your need is published on this page for donors to fund. Once fully funded, we contact you to arrange fulfilment.

For Corporates & Donors

Give Tech or Fund a Bursary

Businesses and individuals can donate devices directly or fund specific bursaries. Every contribution is traceable, receipted, and Section 18A tax deductible.

01

Choose how you want to give

Fund a specific active need, make a general donation via PayFast, donate devices physically, or partner with us as a corporate sponsor.

02

We process and receipt your donation

Cash donations go through PayFast. Device donations are collected or dropped off. A Section 18A tax certificate is issued for all qualifying donations.

03

We send you an impact update

Once your donation is fulfilled, you receive a direct update — what happened, who it helped, and the outcome. Real accountability, every time.

Real people. Real needs.

These are anonymised, verified applications currently open for funding. Each need was reviewed against our criteria before going live. When a need is fully funded, it moves to our fulfilled wall.
